Creating Your Dream Career with Stanford Professor, Joel Ciolek, PA-C

Do you find yourself drawn to a job or a career that you aren’t even sure exists?

Have you settled for less than you want at work because you believe that what you desire just isn’t attainable?

Tune in as I interview Stanford Professor, Joel Ciolek, PA-C, MSPA, to discuss his journey to becoming one of less than 85 PAs in the world practicing in Ophthalmology.

His story is unique and inspiring, and the principles that led him to successfully:

  • find a way to practice in Ophthalmology as a PA

  • teach his passion at multiple universities including Stanford

  • create a AAPA subspecialty organization for PAs

  • found a successful niche consulting service

can be applied to so many things - not just in Medicine, but in a variety of industries and in life.

Joel provides ophthalmology care for the neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations including vitreo retinal surgery and medical retina services. He is passionate about representing and expanding the role of PAs in ophthalmology and provides consultation for PA students, practicing PAs, and ophthalmology practices through his organization: Ophthalmology Physician Assistant Consulting (OPAC).

Listen in and be inspired.

As always, I welcome your feedback and suggestions!
